A little veggie patch co favourite and a popular old home garden variety. Bloomsdale is a heavy yielding, hardy spinach with large glossy thick dark green leaves.

Note: Seeds are sourced locally and in small batches to ensure they remain at their maximum viability for germination. Seeds viable for 5+ years when stored correctly in a cool, dry, dark place.

  • When to Plant

    Zone 1: October – December + March - May

    Zone 2: September – December + March - May

    Zone 3: April – October

    Zone 4: May - June

    Soil : Prepare the beds by digging through compost and well-rotted manure a week prior to planting. Make sure the soil drains well.

    Soil pH Level 6.0–7.0

    Position: Full sun, part shade. Does not tolerate hot conditions. Plant next to your strawberries, as they tend to work well as companions.

    How to Plant: Sow the seeds directly into the veggie patch at most times of the year, however propagate in a mini greenhouse when it is too hot or too cold and then look to transplant once conditions become more mild
